The unique design includes alternating half-size trees, which also contributes to dynamically balance the fluctuations in torque from side to side, effectively eliminating the "power hop."

Magnetic Ride Control.

V-Series reaches extraordinary levels of performance bond, but also maintains the balance of the luxury car in "normal" driving. The technical facilitator of two-mode driving character is Cadillac Magnetic Ride Control history. It is standard on the CTS-V Sport Wagon, and is the technology of the world's fastest-reacting suspension. It uses shocks controlled by Advanced magneto-rheological technology, rather than mechanical valves, greatly accelerating response time and accuracy.

Electronic sensors on all four wheels literally "read the road" every millisecond, making adjustments constantly damping to create a command almost instantaneous and extremely precise movements of the body. This is particularly advantageous for a high performance car, as it helps to keep the car very composed when cornering hard acceleration, braking and other dynamic maneuvers.

Magnetic Ride dampers also allows a wider range of damping control to optimize ride and handling in all driving conditions. The CTS-V Sport Wagon is offered in several control measures, two selectable (Tour and Sport), which allows the driver to tailor the suspension for Gran Turismo or more mental performance driving.

Cadillac pioneered Magnetic Ride Control, with the first production in 2002, after decades of research on magneto-rheological science. Today, technology is only shown in a short list of the world's finest vehicles, including Cadillac V-Series models, the Escalade luxury SUV and the STS and DTS luxury sedan.

Brembo brakes and tires Michelin Pilot Sport PS2.

CTS-V Sport Wagon includes sophisticated braking and tire, in collaboration with two companies known for high-performance technology: Brembo and Michelin. Brembo brakes are at the four corners and include powerful, six-piston calipers in front and four-piston calipers in the rear.

Large ventilated discs allow a strong initial braking force while optimizing the thermal resistance and eliminate fade. The Brembo brake discs are manufactured with "dual-cast" technology that combines cast iron and aluminum, resulting in superior performance and weight loss.

2011 Acura TSX Sport Wagon Review

2011 Acura TSX to continue in his role as a bridge in a model of Honda's premium brand, a constant, if unusual topping performer in four-cylinder sedan and a sport sedan more exciting when it is available with the V6. But the biggest news for TSX-bar, in 2011, is the addition of a model truck. Offers more cargo space than most competitors, storage and a flat floor that can hold objects close to 70 inches long, TSX Sportwagon adds to the versatility of welcome and elegance to a model that were frankly less interest each year.

The Sport Wagon comes standard with the TSX 201 horsepower, 2.4-liter 4-cylinder and five-speed automatic transmission. While fans would prefer the new Acura car will be a rival in front sports car Audi A4 and BMW 328i by combining a V6, manual transmission and AWD, the reality is that the TSX offers a balanced performance Sport Wagon the dynamics of almost all categories and superior fuel economy. Acura plans to offer only 4,000 units in North America, a temporarily take the temperature of American enthusiasm for a luxury car in Japan, so be on the list if you wish.

Sportwagon adds a new perspective to design the Toronto Stock Exchange, as the roofline tapering and pointed, the future shock angles gives the vehicle an image of speed, even at rest. Acura TSX has also tamed the beak, the design of gate bias before and fascia, which has undermined what is otherwise a solid car under the metal plates. The front end of the 2011 Acura TSX still looks great and techno, but exceeded its metal was considerably reduced.

Overall, the TSX offers an excellent way to drive daily, comfortable, large amount of standard equipment, plus a state-of-the-art navigation system and entertainment. In a four-cylinder under the pretext of driving experience can be a bit 'bland - the A4 and 3 Series are just more fun to drive. It might be useful to examine the downloadable versions of the Ford Fusion, Nissan Altima and Volkswagen CC as well. With the V6 and sports suspension and steering, however, the TSX gains more dynamic personality. In both cases, the TSX should be examined, and it is certainly one of the best luxury sedans and wagon market values.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2011 Acura TSX is a compact entry-level luxury sedan available in base, wagons, and V6 trim levels. Base the TSX and TSX Sportwagon offers a standard equipment, which includes 17-inch alloy wheels, xenon headlights, fog lights, sunroof, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering column, eight-part driving seat with memory, four-way power passenger seat, leather upholstery, heated front seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror and the rear seat 60/40-split-folding. Standard with Bluetooth and a seven-speaker audio CD player, satellite radio, auxiliary audio jack and a USB port. In addition, more power and displacement, the V6 adds firmer suspension, 18-inch wheels, and noise-canceling audio system features.

Engines and performance

The TSX front wheel is available with a choice of two engines. The 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine gets 201 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque (172 pound-feet when equipped with a manual transmission) while the 3.5-liter V6 generates 280 horsepower and 254 lb -ft. A five-speed automatic transmission with sport shift paddles is standard on all models, although a six-speed manual is available for the four-cylinder sedan only.

The test oped a manual TSX sedan four-cylinder 60 km / h stop in an ordinary 7.7 seconds. The sedan and Sportwagon automatic once crossed the lights around a second slower. V6, on the other hand, posted a competitive time of 6.4 seconds 00-60.

Estimated fuel economy estimate for the TSX sedan four-cylinder automatic is 22 mpg city/31 mpg highway and 26 combined, the manual version is reduced to 21/29/24. The car is 22/30/25, while the V6 comes to 19/28/23.

Security

In brake tests , has both versions four and six cylinders of the TSX 133 feet to stop from 60 mph. It is at least 10-15 yards longer than we expect a sport sedan-like. Sportwagon came to stand in 127 feet.

For 2011 Acura TSX has not been evaluated by the new government, more grueling 2011 crash test procedures. For 2010, the ratings of the sedan (which is not comparable to the test in 2011) resulted in five-out-of-five stars for all tests of frontal and side impact. It also earned Insurance Institute for Highway Safety top note of "good" in both frontal and side-offset crash tests.

Interior Design and Special Features

Although a little 'attenuated its predecessor, the 2011 Acura TSX is still quite dense, with buttons and switches, especially in the center console. Most of the checks and controls are fairly intuitive and logical, however. Equipped with a package of technology, the TSX offers an excellent navigation system (now based on the hard drive in 2011), with a voice command, real-time traffic, weather, and a large LCD screen, a control knob secondary. Involved in the Acura / ELS surround sound system is certainly enough to justify the extra cost.

New heating / cooling vents in the rear center console to provide greater comfort for rear passengers. Load center console box is now also temperature controlled to keep making better launch McDonald's cold or hot. Interior space is good for the sedan, with a slightly lower than the greats of the TL, and much more than competitors like the Lexus IS 250. The trunk measures 12.6 cubic feet. The Sport Wagon is opened further, providing nearly 61 cubic feet of cargo space with rear seats folded. This improves both the Audi A4 and BMW 3 series.

Driving Impressions

For 2011 Acura TSX rides quietly at highway speeds, thanks to thicker glass and better insulation. The power of four-cylinder engine is adequate, but compared to other luxury cars, entry-level to leave the Toronto Stock Exchange with a bit dull to drive character. The V6 Sportwagon is more alive with its sports suspension and in the case of V6, bolder acceleration. Both disks work well, the manual is easy to work with a short trip and coupling of the linear accelerator tip-in, while changes automatically provides smooth comfort.

2011 Acura TL Sedan Review

No work on the much admired that style can sell cars and overcome the obvious defects. At the same time, the design can tarnish an otherwise suspicious car appeal.

Take the 2011 Acura TL, half luxury sedan that is hard to fault. It has impressive performance results fall perfectly, a roomy interior, solid build quality and abundance of the latest technologies. Still, since it was completely redesigned two years ago, both TL sold plummeted in sales compared to the same price luxury cars. One might think that a car known for its reliability and high value would be relatively well in difficult economic times, but the current TL has failed. For most buyers, a look at his body bloated and heavy metal spout of a network will be all the necessary explanations to this decline from one generation to the next.

Styling is subjective, but if you can put (or enjoy) examines the TL, then you are welcome to its many positive attributes. Available in two variants, TL is therefore two types of buyers. For those interested primarily in a refined driving, a spacious interior and a part full of bells and whistles, the model is the intelligent alternative to a TL luxury sedans like the Buick LaCrosse Genesis, Hyundai and Lexus ES 350th Focused on sport TL SH-AWD, meanwhile, can take corners with sport sedans like the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series or Infiniti G37, with its high-tech Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD it).

Luxury cars and sport sedans must create an emotional attachment to their buyers, but if this feeling is negative, then these cars are unlikely to win many takers. As much as we like the Acura TL 2011 and find it a compelling value to little purpose failures, it is easy to see why buyers are not flocking to showrooms to pick up an Acura.

Body styles, trim levels and options

The TL with the standard 17-inch wheels, automatic xenon headlights, fog lights, sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, heated front seats, eight-part (with driver lumbar adjustment and memory functions), leather seats, automatic dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth telephone audio connection, eight speakers and the sound of six CDs, satellite TV, iPod and auxiliary audio / USB audio interface. TL SH-AWD adds more powerful engine, four wheel drive, more aggressive suspension tuning and steering, brakes upgraded, 18-inch wheels, front seats in depth, and confirmed the contrasting seams in leather.

The technology packages are available on both trim adds improved tires, a rear spoiler, a rear view camera, keyless entry / ignition, GPS-linked climate control solar detection, upgraded leather, upgraded trim metal interior, a navigation system, real-time traffic and weather, voice control and a 10-speaker Acura / ELS Surround sound system with digital music storage. This package can also be increased by 18-inch wheels on the base TL or 19-inch wheels on the SH-AWD.

Engines and performance

The base model 2011 Acura TL is front wheel drive and is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 254 lb.-ft. of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard. In performance tests TL base grew from zero to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds - on par with most luxury sedans in the model. Fuel economy is EPA-estimated 18 mpg city/26 mpg highway and 21 mpg combined.

TL SH-AWD model, the Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive Acura system, which is transferred to a different power to individual wheels to maximize traction and cornering grip, and weather. It 'also available 3.7-liter V6 good for 305 hp and 273 Nm of torque. Five-speed automatic is standard, but a six-speed manual is optional and includes Hill Start Assist. When the automatic, the TL SH-AWD will go from zero to 60 mph in 6.7 seconds, and the hand, making it 5.6 seconds. EPA estimated fuel economy is either the transfer of 17/25/20.

Security

Every 2011 Acura TL with anti-lock disc brakes, brake assist, stability control and traction, front seat side airbags, curtain airbags and the front half of the active constraints. In tests Brake, based TL stopped 60 mph in 122 feet - the middle class. TL SH-AWD has been used to upgrade the brakes to stop to save an impressive 106 feet.

The Acura TL has not been evaluated by the use of the new government, the more difficult 2011, the crash test procedure. Your grade in 2010 (which is not comparable with 2011 votes) show that the TL receives the top five stars in all categories. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the highest rating of TL of "good" in frontal crash tests and lateral displacement.

Interior Design and Special Features

2011 Acura TL interior features a more modern language than some of its competitors. Aluminum finish is decorated home instead of polished wood treatments can be found in the Cadillac CTS, Hyundai Genesis, Lexus ES 350 or the whole, the environment is much more austere look of the Audi. Quality of materials is top notch, with plenty of soft surfaces. Some have said that the aluminum surface must be cheap, but the modified metallic coating technology with the package is of superior quality, and is available in two shades of colors will help to put things.

What comfort, the TL's cabin is spacious and quiet, more space than the similarly priced sedans. The driver's seat offers plenty of adjustment and a half through consolidation, when the rear seats can easily be more passengers. A large flip-up headrest for comfort and protection for those seated in the back and, when not in use, rinse the slide down the back for an unobstructed view. Cargo volume is 13.1 cubic feet a little 'less than other cars in this class, but the wide opening makes loading a couple of golf bags and travel bags easy.

Driving Impressions

Because different driving characteristics of the 2011 Acura TL models, you can almost think of two different types of cars. Base TL should appeal to riders more comfort and luxury in mind. Ride quality is excellent - potholes, bumps and expansion joints were fired calming, almost Germanic splash that befits the price of a luxury car of the TL. 280-hp V6 proves to be more than enough for everyday driving, the steering, although a lack of emotion, a lot of help, so parking is easy.

For those who are more sporting intentions, the SH-AWD to live up to its "Super Handling" label by offering substantially more traction and control than the basic car. Complex all-wheel-drive system directs more power to the outside wheel during cornering to improve handling dynamics, while steering well weighted and communicative makes the driving experience safer.

2011 Acura MDX SUV Review

ome say the 2011 Acura RDX looks like a metal spike angry chicken. You can blame the schedule that began last year to this, but even so, the RDX has a lot to be angry. Now in its fifth year in production, this compact luxury crossover has been neglected in favor of new competitors. Perhaps this is a style (pre-and post-peak of the grid) or perhaps simply that consumers do not realize that I wanted a small luxury SUV from Audi and Mercedes began selling. Whatever the reason, however, the RDX deserves better.

On the one hand, the Acura RDX is one of the best compact crossovers to drive. Its four-cylinder engine with turbocharger has less power than the couple of many of its competitors, but a less robust result unladen weight of acceleration energy. In fact, the RDX is faster than all its competitors except for the Infiniti EX35 297 horsepower.

Complementing the rapid acceleration of the RDX is the "Super Handling" All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) that really makes the Acura stand out from the rest. In order to automatically dose the wheels off of the curves, corners sharper RDX and over living with a sense of competition. If your partner wants the added value of a crossover, but are not willing to give up the experience of driving a sports sedan, the RDX can be an excellent choice.

Beyond the performance and flight characteristics of RDX, a well-constructed (though visually insignificant) cottage available for the maximum power of high-tech features, like solar-sensing climate control, iPod interface and easy to use navigation system. The optional Acura / ELS Surround audio system is also one of the best in its class. Best of all, the hits register RDX downloaded at a price that undermines competition itself included in the thousands.

So as you can see, it is worth 2011 Acura RDX with newer competitors like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLK and Volvo XC60. All have their advantages, in particular, but the Volvo is the best option for families. Will probably benefit the most interesting designs that the luxury segment means a lot. Unfortunately, the RDX, an angry robot chicken is not only the premium graphics.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2011 Acura RDX is a compact five-passenger luxury crossover, available in one trim level. Standard features include 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, Privacy Glass, automatic xenon headlights, fog lights, sunroof, cruise control, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way driver and four spare seats, heated front seats, interior skin, and tilt-telescope steering wheel, Bluetooth and a seven-speaker audio system with six-CD changer, satellite, auxiliary audio jack and iPod / USB audio interface.

Technology package adds a GPS connection, and solar-sensing automatic climate control, rear camera, navigation system, real-time traffic and weather information, control the screen infotainment and voice of a 10-speaker Acura / ELS Surround audio system with DVD capability sound.

Engines and performance

2011 Acura RDX is powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 240 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Five-speed automatic transmission gearshift as standard, but choose the standard front-wheel drive or optional four-wheel drive. Nicknamed the SH-AWD, which distributes power not only front and rear axles is typical, but also between the left and right wheels, ensuring optimum traction in all conditions.

When the front-wheel drive, the RDX went from zero to 60 mph 6.9 seconds test, so this is one of the fastest Acura Crossover class. The heavier the SH-AWD model would be only slightly slower. What is the fuel economy, front-wheel drive RDX has an EPA rated at 19 mpg city/24 mpg highway around 21 mpg for one and, while the SH-AWD version of the prices of 17/22/19. Both are middle class.

Security

Acura RDX comes standard with ABS (with brake assist), stability and traction control, front side airbags, curtain airbags and active front headrests in the middle. Rear view camera is optional. In tests of the brakes, front wheel drive RDX stopped 60 mph within a reasonable distance 125 meters.

RDX is not designed for the use of the new government, the staunchest 2011 Crash Test Mode The 2010 votes (which are not comparable to the new method) was a perfect five stars in frontal and side crash or impact. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the RDX a perfect score of "good" in frontal-offset and side impact crash test.

Interior Design and Special Features

The interior design of the RDX is a bit trivial compared to what is in the new competitors, but we still believe that most buyers will be satisfied with the environment of the RDX. The quality of materials is adequate, but it is a little hard plastic in comparison to its competitors. A storage compartment in the center of the depth between the front seats have a briefcase or laptop bag.

It is 28 cubic feet of storage behind the rear seats and 60/40-split folding rear seat backrest is equipped with 61 cubic feet - in mid-pack numbers of the small luxury crossover. Audi Q5 and Mercedes GLK are more stringent, SRX or less the same, and the BMW X3 and the Volvo XC60, in particular, more spacious. Rear legroom is good, but the rear seats do not slip or slide back and forth (as opposed to the Audi Q5 and plebeian cousin of RDX, Honda CR-V).

Driving Impressions

2011 Acura RDX turbo sound is audible hissing is nice differs from the standard six-cylinder audio tracks in this segment. Turbo lag is minimal, and plenty of energy to make you question the power of relatively small numbers.

In motion, the RDX is an attempt to ride comfort - so too rough on the streets. However, the reward comes around the corner, where the RDX is so eager to play for all models in its class. It feels smaller than many other segments and has the steering wheel that has a light side, but convincing, however, accurate. With the signing of the Acura SH-AWD, the treatment of RDX has been further improved, while pulling the corners Ute 'with balance and steadiness.
