Unlike his brothers and sisters living in the xB TC 2011 Scion xD a life of relative obscurity. Maybe it is because this economy sedan has a style of mind more calm, or perhaps because of its focus on robust and reliable transportation. Admittedly, this is nothing to sniff. But these days most competitors offer much more than simple transportation.

2011 Land Rover Range Rover Review

Perhaps no other vehicle bridges, a considerable gap between luxury uptown and let the muscle just like the Land Rover Range Rover 2011. The bones still remember in the same mountain goat-ready rock that made its debut more than 40 years ago, but the inside and outside, bears hallmarks of England ambition and taste for the finer pleasures of life.

Last year, the Range Rover has received the engine and interior renovations, including new direct-injection 5.0-liter V8. 2011 Range Rover carries over the changes, and with the addition of updates for its Terrain Response System and the interior. Reclining rear seats with headrest with wings, similar to the airliner, now an option, and the new engine represents a significant improvement over the previous 4.4-liter V8 and 4.2 liter. The current basis for Central makes 375 hp and produces 510 hp supercharged version devastating. Fuel economy, however, remains in a poor, but considering the general trend, it is a trade-off you can live with.

2011 Lexus GS 350 Review

For his merits, 2011 Lexus GS 350 is a fine selection of luxury sports sedan. It offers performance prestige, comfort and a lot of high-level functions in order to please some of the most demanding buyers. GS 350 pit against some of the competitors in Europe, but its charm fades as sedans seem to be doing more things just a little 'better.

GS 350 incidents, small as they are, are a little 'less headroom and less responsive suspension. For an average-sized drivers, who have little desire for sporty handling, these defects can be easily forgiven, given that the Lexus excels in almost every other category. A quiet house offers the segment leader in convenience enveloping quality materials, craftsmanship and passengers.

2011 Lamborghini Gallardo Review

Two new models debut Lamborghini Gallardo 2011: 570-4 Superleggera coupe and Spyder convertible 570-4 Performance. Both are light versions of the Gallardo, which uses extensive carbon fiber components. As the name suggests the model they also have more power than the standard Gallardo.

There are things about the 2011 Lamborghini Gallardo that we can not share with you in this review model. Oh, it's not something taboo, such as illegitimate children, or the fact that both wet the bed. Rather, there is simply no way to properly express through words, the aspects to be heard, seen and felt. For example, we could come up with clever metaphors comparing the majestic roar of the V10 Lamborghini talents of Pavarotti singing, but they would never do it justice.

Therefore, we leave the sound on YouTube, the video of our own gallery of photos in hand and the feeling of your local Lamborghini is expected to consider worth a test drive. But here are the cold, the meat and potatoes in the analysis Gallardo that could help determine if this is the car exotic to add to your garage.

2011 Kia Soul Review

Kia Seoul may be some improvements in 2011, new rear shocks and standard rear disc brakes (rear drums, which replaces last year) is the most important. Other minor changes are the new door handles, button start, onboard computer, heated exterior mirrors and.

Whether or not the car style are placed square on the line between SUV and sedan are a fad or the shape of things to come remains to be seen. Just by the nature of their square shapes, which offer a remarkable space and practical, but aesthetic in general, leave much to be desired. 2011 Kia Soul can be counted among the boxes on wheels, but stands out with the corners with a more interesting and less difficult.

Such as competition, offering Kia Soul to a long list of features and customization options. He is also in agreement with funky names like trim + Soul and soul. No, it's not a typo: the plus sign and an exclamation point is actually trim levels. Features such as a surround speaker that light pulses with the music is certainly news for the youth market, but the soul also has a certain appeal practice. Guarantee affordable and generous, two of his most prominent attributes.

Kia engineers also managed to infuse the soul with Peppy engine performance (at least on higher trim levels) and sporty handling. Together they form a core surprisingly fun to drive small cars, there is always a breeze to maneuver around tight city limits in relative comfort. On the highway, had the soul of last year's ride quality a concern, but the new rear shock absorbers must be at least partially address this problem.

We evaluate the 2011 Kia Soul at high boxy open competition, which includes the Nissan Cube and Scion xB. Both can accommodate more cargo than the Kia with its rear seats stowed, but scores points for Soul most attractive designs to us. There are some more traditional choices as well as the Honda Fit and Mini Cooper Clubman, they also have sharp styling, handling and cargo versatility sports surprising. But Kia Soul gets almost everything right. And we think it is worth adding to your list.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2011 Kia Seoul is a wagon with four-door sedan / available in the base, +! and Sport trim levels. Standard equipment includes 15-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, full power accessories, computer, tilt steering, cloth upholstery, rear seat and four 60/40-split-folding speaker stereo with CD/MP3 player, satellite radio, auxiliary audio jack and USB. Seoul + bigger engine, 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, keyless entry, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, rear privacy glass, driver seat height adjustment, the metal interior, Bluetooth, steering wheel mounted audio controls and dual speakers.

A sunroof, fog lamps, rugs and a better audio system are optional on the soul +. Included in the soul, with 18-inch wheels, heated mirrors, leather steering wheel and two-tone upholstery. Alma sport is like the soul! and adds a sport suspension, an interior two-tone red and black, metal pedals and unique exterior trim details. The sunroof is optional on Sport.

Buyers can choose the premium package Seoul! and Sport models, which adds leather upholstery, heated front seats and keyless ignition. Other options include stand-alone body kit, cargo cover, and auto-dimming rear view mirror.

Engines and performance

Base 2011 Kia Seoul is powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 122 horsepower and 115 pound-feet of torque to the ground five-speed manual. Higher power levels for the 2.0-liter four makes 142 hp in-line and 137 Nm of torque. A five-speed gearbox is standard, and the four-speed automatic transmission is available as an option. Performance testing, Sports Seoul manual went from zero to 60 mph in a respectable 8.8 seconds.

EPA believes that the Soul is the basic fuel economy of 26 mpg and 28 mpg highway mpg city/31 in combined driving. The 2.0-liter engine is estimated at 24/30/26 mpg with either manual or automatic transmission.

Security

Standard safety equipment as all Kia models Seoul 2011 include four-wheel antilock disc brakes, brake assist, front active head restraints, stability control, traction control, front side airbags, curtain airbags and a half.

Kia Soul has not been evaluated by the new government, more grueling 2011 crash-test procedure. Sine 2010-rating (which is not comparable with 2011 votes) was a top five stars for frontal crash protection and side for both front passengers and four stars for protection against side impact for rear passengers. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety awarded the soul to its highest score of "good" in frontal impact side offset, and stress tests of the roof.

In recent braking tests, a Kia Soul! stop to 60 mph in 121 feet, the average car of this class.

Interior Design and Special Features

Even if Seoul Kia interior design is practical, it looks a lot younger and colors to make things. Podlike dash center console is pushed, with simple audio and climate controls within easy reach. Optional upholstery and a special two-tone colors are a modern feel in the cabin, something is missing a lot of competition Kia.

There is no shortage of space inside, with elevated seats provide plenty of legroom, even for the most passengers, while the large boxy roof provides adequate clearance. Luggage space behind the rear seats is 19 cubic feet. Fold the seats flat kick that number up to 53 cubes. This is slightly lower than the Honda Fit, several feet shy of the Nissan Cube and Scion xB well for 70 cubic feet.

Guide

In 2011, Kia Soul, especially sports model, agile and feels well planted at high speed cornering. Director numbness on center feel and a strange non-linear action, though. Around the city, the soul is pleasantly comfortable. With a modified rear shocks, we expect the highway route to be less troubled than the previous model year. While option 18-inch wheels and tires are certainly attractive, they can also cause excessive noise and a certain hardness larger bumps.

Seoul-based engine is fighting to get the car running, but because only offered a manual transmission, we are inclined to think most buyers lean towards the 2.0-liter engine and automatic transmission. This engine is at home in the city due to traffic and a number of solid low-end torque and enthusiasm. Manual transmission is fairly straight, but throw the switch and the long introduction is vague.

2011 Jeep Compass Review

We must give credit to the Jeep to try harder this year. Almost all the improvements in the 2011 Jeep Compass is the question of where we have previously griped. The interior plastic-fantastic? Jeep has added soft-touch materials in the cabin. Not worthy of a Jeep badge? Now there's an off-road package with the lowest leverage. To-cute style? Updated record of the year contains an end before the Grand Cherokee style flourishes and additional chrome to make it look more upscale.

Meanwhile, Compass still lacks refinement, it is necessary to keep pace with other vehicles in this category most popular crossover utility vehicles. Developed from the platform as the Dodge Caliber, Dodge Patriot (and the Mitsubishi Outlander sport as well), Compass has a 2.4 liter four-cylinder to his order, as all vehicles in this category. But it also has a continuously variable transmission (CVT) of its own, and this choice makes the engine noisy and rude even seems that boasts both better acceleration and better fuel economy.

While the new steering wheel, door trim and soft-touch visual presentation will greatly improve Compass interior stand out from its competitors, the Jeep is all about style, not necessarily comfort. Visibility is always an issue with small windows Compass ", while the seats are very comfortable.

However, the recalibration of the compass 4WD vehicle makes sense for us. Become the main attributes of utility, and the movement instead of carlike comfort and refinement, and this is responsible for not only the image but also the nature of the Jeep Compass.

Hiking, camping and other outdoor sports enthusiasts should know that the compass has no advantage over its rivals thanks to the new available off-road package, which includes all the hardware necessary to earn Jeep "Trail Rated" moniker. Aggressive off-road tires, low-range transfer tires and skid plates offer a unique kind of strong features are seen elsewhere in this segment of the soft road.

While off-road references give the Jeep Compass 2011 some authenticity, it is fair to say that this vehicle is still struggling to find its identity. As a passenger fee that is affordable, fuel efficient and easy to drive, but not completely refined. As an all-terrain utility vehicle, have the drive and motor docile, but not as rugged as a Jeep Liberty. Alternatives include the Honda CR-V, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, Nissan Rogue, Subaru Forester and Toyota RAV4.

Body styles, trim levels and options

In 2011 Jeep Compass is a five-passenger compact SUV available in base and Limited trim levels.

Standard equipment on the base of the compass includes alloy wheels, 17 inches, roof rails, fog lights, heated mirrors, air conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, tilt steering and a stereo with four speakers with CD player and auxiliary input jack. The Latitude package adds heated front seats, driver seat height adjustment, a front passenger fold-flat safety, reclining rear seats, a 115-volt auxiliary power point and a leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.

Limited includes all the previous features and adds 18-inch alloy wheels, exterior chrome inserts, auto-dimming rearview mirror, trip computer, automatic climate control, power driver seat, leather seats, satellite navigation and in-dash six CD .

There are several packages available on both sides. Convenience Group Cargo Security and adds a security alarm, front side airbags, load cover, mirrors, auto-dimming mirrors (basic), an onboard computer (basic), USB (limited) and the UConnect control Bluetooth voice (limited). Remote start is also included if the vehicle is equipped with the CVT.

The Sun and Sound Group adds improved speakers (including a couple who covers and face the outside of the back door open), a ceiling for the base model, the satellite radio. Option Media Center adds a hard drive based navigation system, digital music storage and a USB audio input.

Freedom Drive II Off-Road Package includes active 4WD, less than the state of the CVT, the engine oil cooler, Hill ascent / descent assist, 17-inch alloy wheels, all-terrain tires, skid plates, equipment hook coupling, driver seat height adjustment, mats and for all seasons.

Engines and performance

Front-wheel drive is standard on the Jeep Compass 2011, but the four-wheel system is optional. Freedom Drive I 4WD system is front-wheel drive mode under normal circumstances, and will use the power to the rear wheels automatically when needed. It can also be locked in 4WD mode, up to 60 per cent of torque is sent to the rear wheels for better traction off road. Freedom Drive II Off-Road Package includes a lower state of CVT to improve mobility.

Each measure, except for the basic version of front-wheel drive comes standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is optional on the compass base. The 2.4 makes 172 horsepower and 165 lb-ft of torque. A five-speed manual transmission is standard and a CVT transmission is optional. At the trial of 2011 Jeep Compass Limited 4x4 equipped with the CVT (Freedom Drive I), the vehicle accelerated to 60 mph 3405 lbs to a standstill in 10.3 seconds and reaches the quarter mile in 17, 80.5 mph in 6 seconds . EPA fuel economy of the compass is 21 mpg city and 26 mpg on the highway. With the manual five-speed is capable of 22 mpg city and 28 mpg on the highway. One set of front wheel to the CVT and 2.4-liter engine can achieve 21 mpg city and 27 mpg on the highway.

Available only in the front-wheel drive Compass Base, 2.0-liter four-cylinder makes 158 hp and 141 Nm of torque and offers the same transmission range 2.4. EPA-rated fuel consumption ratings stand at 23 mpg city and 29 mpg highway for manual transmission and 23 mpg city and 27 mpg highway for CVT.

Security

Standard safety features include stability control with rollover sensor, full-length side curtain airbags and traction control. Side airbags for front seats are optional.

Jeep Compass is designed for use in the new government more difficult in 2011 crash-test methods. The 2010 votes (which are not comparable to the new test) had four out of five stars and the front-impact crash protection and five stars for side impact protection.

The test, the Compass Limited 4X4 Firestone Firehawk GTA is a 215/55R18 tires stopped 60 mph 120 feet.

Interior Design and Special Features

Sports Compass Rose Cottage this year, the steering wheel more comfortable and soft material in the front doors and armrest console. There are usually found in seating comfort, however, unimpressive.

The Compass offers some useful storage space, including an open bin on the passenger side dashboard. The rear seat backs folded flat, and fold-flat capability back front passenger (standard on Limited, optional on the base) allows you to carry long objects inside.

The cargo area itself is a couple of cubic meters less than the competition, which measures 22.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 53.6 cubic feet with rear seats folded back.

Guide

Even with more than 2.4-liter engine feels for the 2011 Jeep Compass sluggish when merging and passing maneuvers, especially when equipped with 4WD and power undermine the FPC. It is also quite noisy. This is related to the characteristics of the PFC, rather than the engine. The compass has received a complete makeover of his suspension in 2011 and ride with better stability and balance, but it may be too strong for some.

2011 Jaguar XF Review

Now in its third year of production, the XF saloon is still a game changer for Jaguar. Recent Jaguars appear to have been designed to meet what was thought a Jaguar should be: namely, a car that looked like the picturesque scenic drive that preceded it. They were built for people who think of England as a nation full of turn-over grannies taking Earl Grey and tell stories about the war.

The XF, the new XJ, larger, these people are in your dust and established a bold new direction for Jaguar style. Traditional virtues as powerful engines and a sumptuous cabin, but the contemporary form of XF Jaguar stands out as one for the 21 st century.

2011 Jaguar XF Midsize received a warm reception in the first two years of production. We love its rich nature, the highlighted items, such as the console attached to the Start button, which pulses red and round the gear selector that rises to the console when the engine comes to life. Of course, it is also driving exceptionally well, wonderful V8 power and an excellent balance between handling and comfort. XF Supercharged also exist comparison test with the segment supporters Audi, BMW and Mercedes.

Jaguar's main change for 2011 is to reverse the previous base model 4.2-liter V8 for the more powerful 5.0-liter V8, which began in 2010 XF Premium. The naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 pumping 385 horsepower in both models, while the XF Supercharged is familiar (yes) a supercharged engine good for 470 HP enormous. The supercharged XFR peaks of the line with an even stronger engine supercharged XF estimated 510 hp and 461 lb-ft of torque. With more aggressive engine also gains made XFR other performances, unique interior and exterior enhancements and user-selectable modes for the suspension.

A more powerful engine for entry-level XF is an act worthy of a third car that has already been established as an outstanding example of the class. The XF Premium standard equipment is generous to continue to maintain a strong appeal to the buyer of a normal luxury car, while the XF Supercharged and in particular the XFR give buyers of a BMW M5 or Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG result s' stop at a Jaguar dealership. 2011 Jaguar XF All deserve a place in the "reader" list if you are considering a sedan in this price range. The XF has its peculiarities and its critics, but the mix of on-road drive from sophisticated high-tech features and interior British firm is particularly attractive.

Body styles, trim levels and options

In 2011 Jaguar XF is a luxury sedan available through four trim levels: base XE, XF and XF Premium XFR Supercharged. Standard equipment for the XF base includes 18-inch wheels, halogen headlights, rear parking sensors, sunroof, automatic headlamps, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition, leather upholstery and heated front seats with 10 channels electrically adjustable with memory functions of the driver. Also standard is Bluetooth, a navigation system, voice-activated controls and a stereo with nine speakers CD changer for six, an auxiliary audio input jack, an audio interface and portable satellite radio. Vision Package adds front parking sensors, a rearview camera and a blind spot warning system.

The XF Premium Package includes the Vision and adds 19-inch wheels, bi-Xenon auto-leveling headlights, heated and cooled front seats, leather-trimmed instrument panel and door trim, the choice of trim and keyless start and entry. Portfolio Package adds 20-inch wheels, 16 way driver and 12 power seats and passengers with climate control, contrasting stitching furniture, fittings in ebony, a heated steering wheel and a touch of power to the telescope back. The window shade, heated steering wheel and 19-inch wheels are among the options independently of the XF base.

Optional for the XF and XF Premium is a Bowers & Wilkins surround sound system with 14 speakers and HD radio. New for 2011 is the addition of an in-dash six-disc CD system with B & W. The XF Premium can also be equipped with adaptive cruise control, heated steering wheel and windshield and a rear sunshade and independent options.

The XF Supercharged comes standard with a supercharged V8 engine, 20-inch wheels and four tailpipes. Autonomous options Supercharged models include adaptive cruise control, heated windshield, and a single row suede. Jaguar XFR Supercharged adds even more power, unique 20-inch wheels, adaptive suspension, larger brakes, a locking rear differential specialized settings and unique additional seats

Propulsion and Performance

In 2011 Jaguar XF has three engines in four models, each with a level trim. Base XF and XF Premium sports a 5.0-liter V8 that produces 385 horsepower and 380 lb-ft of torque. The XF Supercharged version has a supercharged 5.0-liter V8's 470 hp and 424 valued at lb-ft. The XFR is a compressor 5.0-liter V8 with more power, starting at 510 hp and 461 lb-ft of torque. All send their grunts to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission that includes a sport mode and paddle shifters. The estimates for fuel economy naturally aspirated 5.0-liter engine are 16 city/23 highway/19 combined. Estimates for the XFR Supercharged 15/21/17.

The performance is as impressive as the engine specification would suggest. In recent tests, a Jaguar XF Premium ran to 60 mph in just 5.7 seconds, while a XFR needs only 4.5 seconds. With the acceleration of the sports car even heavier luxury cars must meet the most demanding of drivers.

Security

Standard safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes with brake assist, stability and traction control, front seat airbags, front airbags seat side, curtain airbags and active head restraints. A rearview camera and a blind spot warning system is optional on the base and standard on the XF Supercharged XF XF Premium XFR.

Braking for the XF range is particularly noteworthy. Under controlled conditions, we managed to bring to a stop XF Premium 60 mph in just 106 meters - a distance usually associated with high-performance sports cars. During the test, XFR need an equally impressive 108 feet to stop.

Interior Design and Special Features

The interiors Jaguar XF is a bold step forward, as traditionally frumpy British brand and size luxury sedan segment. The console-mounted start button pulses red like a real cat's heart beat deep. Pressing fire the engine of life, and then turns a gear selector rises into the palm of the hand of the driver, as four openings to open and rotate into position. Some may find this production a bit 'tricky, but the XF is back with a soft leather tastefully applied wood and attractive design. In general, is the standout segment, generally known as a cottage conservative.

There are some ergonomic faux pas, however. Most of the audio, climate, navigation and Bluetooth phone functions are controlled via a central touch screen, and while the menus are logically arranged, some of the virtual buttons are too small. Moreover, it unnecessarily swoopy graphics make for a long processing time. The center console has a few physical buttons are welcome to adjust the climate system, but those who are devoted to audio controls are useless and, in general, this property could be better used. Rear outward visibility is even worse than average.

As for space, they will find in front a generous amount, but more people sitting in the back may find their heads to graze on the roof - the XF is not as spacious as the class of 5 series or E. The tribe, however, are quite spacious 17 cubic feet.

Guide

Allure smooth and velvety The 2011 Jaguar XF offers comfortable long distance, but there is an unexpected level of performance of a Jaguar sedan. Curves, the XF has considerable limitations grip surprisingly high. The steering is a little light and tender, but the XF is more fun to drive than many competitors.

The acceleration of the base 5.0-liter V8 is fast and fluid, but the supercharged V8 from the fusion of sweetness and supercharged XF takes you to another dimension of performance, to serve an endless wave of energy amazing. For those who want a Jaguar with claws even clearer, the 510-HP XFR adds even more to the management of the ablest and entertainment range.

2011 Infiniti EX Review

Sometimes it feels like ancient history, but there was a day when the tall, sturdy wagon ruled the power to pull the family in America. Then came the SUV, ending the era and the birth of the second American families that turned into a long, fat, and vehicles for nearly three decades. But $ 4 a gallon of gas has broken the fastest part of the police, and as soon as the Americans began to concentrate more, hybrids and crossover vehicles derived.

As a luxury crossovers go, 2011 Infiniti EX (ex-EX35) to live in a small niche. He wants to show that it is actually a sports sedan under its high perch, and the back of the hold. It is a good example. EX wheelbase is 2 cm longer, and the ride height 1 inch longer than the Infiniti G37 sedan, which supports it. EX continues to lead the 3.5-liter V6 remains of the previous G35, but it finally arrives seven-speed automatic are offered throughout the rest of the Infiniti line.

In 2011, the EX gets a new look for outside wheels as standard on both trim levels of 18 inches. All models also get dual-zone climate, previously available only in higher-level trim. Inside the cabin, the EX is a great sport-luxury environment, leather upholstery, high-quality contact points, as well as a number of standard and optional high-tech, such as the innovative Infiniti Around View Monitor System Camera , which uses four cameras to a 360-degree view of the composite car parking. In 2011, the EX is also a blind spot warning system.

While the Infiniti EX 2011 can be one of the most agile crossovers in the segment, it is not the most versatile. Its back seat is not suitable for a long tail and its cargo area does not provide much more space than a large trunk. If it's space you need for passengers and freight, Audi Q5, Mercedes-Benz and Volvo XC60 GLK350 are valid alternatives. BMW X3 is also worth visiting as it is sport and it is more spacious inside. But if you love sports sedan dynamic small utility wagon and run a little above the fray, EX is an endearing oddity in this evolving segment.

Body styles, trim levels and options

In 2011, Infiniti EX is a five-seat crossover vehicle luxury available in the base and Journey trim levels. Standard equipment includes 18-inch wheels, automatic headlamps, fog lights, cruise control, keyless ignition / entry, heated mirrors, dual-zone automatic climate control, steering column with tilt and telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, eight-way driver and four-way passenger power seats (heated on AWD models), leather, two-tone interior treatments, a rearview camera and a stereo with six-speaker single CD player, radio, satellite and a USB connector.

Travel EX adds a sunroof, power steering, heated front seats, wood interior, auto-dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth, and an in-dash six-CD.

The most important travel options are limited. Premium Package includes a 11-speaker Bose audio system with single CD player, and 9 GB of storage of digital music, navigation system in real-time traffic and weather reports, Bluetooth audio streaming, multi-camera system, front parking and rear parking sensors, and air cleaner.

Touring deluxe package includes alloy wheels, 19 inch, adaptive xenon headlights, the memory functions of the driver, a passenger eight-way power seats, power seats, a folding rear seat and interior trim upgrades. The technology package provides a clue from prevention and warning systems, adaptive cruise control, Intelligent Brake Assist with collision warning and blind spot warning system.

Engines and performance

2011 Infiniti EX is available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The only engine is a 3.5-liter V6 that produces 297 horsepower and 253 pound-feet of torque. It is coupled with a new seven-speed automatic with manual editing.

In performance tests, a former RWD with the previous five-speed automatic pushes of zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, fast, EX this year is probably a tenth or two faster still. Estimated fuel economy of 17 mpg highway and 20 mpg city/24 mpg combined the two rear wheels and four wheels.

Security

Standard safety equipment includes antilock disc brakes, traction control and stability, side airbags for front seats, side curtain airbags and active head restraints. The Technology package adds optional Forward Collision Warning (which uses the adaptive cruise control radar to warn drivers of an impending collision), intelligent brake assist (which automatically engages the brakes if the driver ignores FCW) and system track departure warning (which alerts the driver when the car starts to turn in another direction). In performance contracts braking test, stopping ex from 60 km / h in 118 feet, and a very good result for this class.

The Insurance Institute crash tests for Highway Safety, the EX has a score above "good" in frontal offset and side protection.

Interior Design and Special Features

EX is one of inviting in its class. Both trim levels offer high quality leather, aluminum (bottom) or maple (Journey) complete the interior with soft lines and contours pleasant. The front seats are supportive and the driving position is excellent, with Journey, the more power tilt and telescopic steering wheel. Controls for the climate, stereo and optional navigation systems are some of the most intuitive to use, as is standard with the iPod interface.

The rear seat is not as impressive as his legs becomes limited restraint on long trips. Cargo space is rather superficial at 18.6 cubic feet, the space behind the rear seats are only slightly higher than the trunk space of many sedans. Even with the seat backs folded, the less likely that competitors crossing.

Guide

The 2011 Infiniti EX is a pleasure to drive, even if you do not like SUVs. This is because the EX is actually more of a sports sedan with a high altitude. Based on the platform, the Infiniti G35, EX balances the almost perfect balance between ride quality and handling. Even with 18-inch wheels that feels comfortable on the floor, broken, strong but sensitive and hairpin bends. The V6 pulls strongly from almost any speed and the brakes are strong and easy to modulate. Those who opt for the EX sedan instead of the G series is not likely to miss the G slightly better overall dynamics.

For the completely redesigned sedan 2011 Hyundai Elantra is the present moment. Ditching its rags like Cinderella, scouring out the Elantra frumpy often refer to a different car, very pleasant to coup for many car buyers. Its stylish new can be a sparkling blue dress with a statuesque blonde, but it is sure to turn some heads.

Conveniently, this new Elantra is more than a pretty face. This dolled-up on the new Elantra sports a new 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine combines with a choice of six-speed manual or automatic transmission. Unlike the Chevrolet Cruze Eco Volkswagen Jetta TDI or that require you to pay more for their high consumption of special fuel, this new engine allows for a simple change Elantra impressive EPA estimated 40 mpg on the highway.

Although this new Elantra is always competition in the compact segment, the size of the cabin (like many of its competitors) has increased to the point that the EPA now considered a midsize car in terms of interior volume. It is the inside can also be loaded with premium features offered on some cars even legitimate means, not to mention the compact: keyless entry / ignition, a backup camera and heated rear seats.

Of course, this new 2011 Hyundai Elantra comes to the Royal Ballet, only to find a dance floor full of interesting competitors. In addition to perennial favorites like the Honda Civic and Mazda 3, a compact sedan buyers want to add new Cruze, the Jetta and the Ford Focus 2012 on their lists. But, all things considered, we think that the new Elantra is a combination of distinctive styling, fuel economy, spacious interior and low price could help it become the ball fine.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2011 Hyundai Elantra is a compact sedan, which is available in two trim levels. GLS model with a basic standard 15-inch steel wheels, heated mirrors, keyless entry, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, trip computer, full power accessories, tilt-only steering wheel and six speaker audio with CD player, satellite radio and iPod / USB audio interface.

Engines and performance

Feeding the 2011 Hyundai Elantra is a new 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder is rated at 148 horsepower and 131 lb.-ft. of torque. Vehicles sold in California and other states follow the same laws obtain emission PZEV (Partial Zero-Emission Vehicle) version of this engine, which reduces output to 145 hp and 130 lb-ft of torque. GLS models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission with six-speed automatic transmission is optional. Limited Auto series.

No matter what the engine / transmission combo you choose, you'll end up with a saving of fuel. 29 mpg city/40 mpg EPA estimated 33 mpg highway and combined.

Security

2011 Hyundai Elantra to the list of standard safety equipment includes traction and stability control, disc brakes with ABS, active head restraints, front seat side airbags and side curtain airbags covering both rows.

Interior Design and Special Features

Elantra interior features a curved center console and air conditioning and style to give a little something extra. The design is attractive and materials, but not the best in its class, at least for a look full of them. Despite the hat deep interior feels bright and spacious - front height is a lot of 6-footers and the steering wheel is a bit 'smaller in diameter than usual, which increases the feeling of space in front. The rear bench is great for the kids, and even many adults, even if the principles in finding a good room with the vertical leg and a lack of free rec.

The Elantra has a large trunk at 14.8 cubic feet of cargo space, a generous number of this segment.

Driving Impressions

While the 2011 Hyundai Elantra is not as exciting to drive as it is to look at, it is certainly not the pumpkin. The new 1.8-liter engine has plenty of PPE for everyday driving, and changing six-speed automatic downshifts smoothly and easily. Engine gets noisy at high speeds, however.

As for handling, in fact a combination of a rigid body structure and many more well tuned suspension made the new Elantra fun to drive. The car is stable and planted, with the roll when cornering relatively small - qualities that result in an additional sense of confidence behind the wheel. Comments by the new electric power steering seems a little artificial, but it is always fast and accurate.

In the daily conduct of the ride quality is on the business side, but is well damped and, for most potential buyers, should be far wrong. The cabin is relatively quiet with little wind noise in itself, but it is enough road noise to remind you that the Elantra compact car is still an economy sedan that appears to be high dollar.

2006 HUMMER H1 Alpha SUV Review

The H1 (the original official name from the beginning of Hummer H2) is a civilian version of the high mobility multipurpose vehicle with wheels (HMMWV) or Humvee used by the U.S. military. AM General, the current manufacturer of the H1, was awarded the contract to build the first government in 1983, the Humvee. Significant exposure to the American public during the first Gulf War convinced AM General a civilian version would be a viable consumer product. It was first made available to the public in 1992 and was sold in limited quantities ever since. Although some changes were made to qualify for public sale, the first civilian version was very similar to the original military. Since then, small improvements were made to soften his image. Significant improvements in the interior, including consoles and new redesigned seats, occurred in 2004.

Hummer has also sought to improve the car's performance this year, installing a more powerful engine and new five-speed automatic.

No matter how many changes Hummer fact, there is no work around the fact that it is a big heavy truck with really bad table manners. Compared to a Lexus LX 470, for example, H1 appears as hopelessly primitive, expensive and generally ineffective for normal use. Not that it's not a big secret, of course. Lobsters are fully aware that this is a specialty vehicle, which is why it gives longer the H2 and H3 SUV. Both offer the same style and vehicles is much more realistic for the day-to-date property. Only when you want a vehicle with no holds barred off-road or "look at me!" Space makes H1 Alpha has gone. In both situations, there is never any doubt that the H1 Alpha is the real deal.

Body styles, trim levels and options

H1 Alpha is a four-passenger SUV available in two body styles: four doors open to or greater than four-door sedan. Standard equipment on the trim level includes items such as power windows, keyless entry, heated outside mirrors, leather seats, cruise control, air conditioning, six CD audio system. Central Tire Inflation System by using the on-board compressor allows the driver to adjust the tire pressure via the cockpit controls. Standard wheel size is 17-inch run-flat tires, two 17-inch wheels in aluminum with double bead locks are optional, as are special Goodyear Wrangler MT / R tires. And 'well-off Road Adventure package that includes front and rear Eaton E-Locker differential lock, 12,000 pound winch and a 17-inch, two-piece wheels.

Engines and performance

Hummer H1 Alpha features a 6.6-liter turbodiesel V8. It makes 300 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque and sending power to all four wheels through a five-speed automatic. Directed at the poles, a self-locking front and rear of the differences, and an optional limited slip differential locks combine to give H1 Alpha high-speed slow, the ability of rock crawling. Properly equipped, open-top version can tow up to 9300 pounds.

Security

Safety devices are almost limited to the standard anti-lock brakes and a control tire pressure. No airbags, not even the driver. No government agency has tested a Hummer accident, but with a weight of at least 7500 pounds, the odds are generally in favor of H1 Alpha.

Interior Design and Special Features

Ergonomics in the cabin has been improved over the years but still lags behind competitors expensive luxury SUV. The seats are comfortable for smaller framed individuals, but many people will find the passenger cramped at best. Come in and out of H1 is an exercise, yes, exercise. Big and clumsy switches control various functions, and gauges are commercial units round with a look decidedly aftermarket. Cargo room is smaller than what is usually a full-size SUV.

Driving Impressions

Although the new engine this year has improved acceleration, Hummer H1 Alpha is still a hobby 13.5 seconds to go from zero to 60. And do not expect carlike, or even truck-like handling. Hummer recorders and wallows its way around the city the way you would expect from a military vehicle is derived, and braking distances are long. When the roof of the sidewalk, however H1 Alpha has no equal in the open land. The authorization of the truck floor of 16 inches clearance angles wide, low transmission and tires adapted fleshy can climb on a Ford or trampled by almost any obstacle that comes his way.

2009 Hummer H2 SUV

Few vehicles on the road to make a statement quite like the Hummer H2. The transport model of vigorous military Humvee, the dimensions of the H2 and Tonka-like profile to give an aura of games tyrant. But as with many Goliath / intimidate the stories, the powerful are challenged by the poor, become victims of their own audacity. An uncertain future for the operations of the Hummer brand due to rising fuel costs, changing public opinion and the decline in sales. Despite all this, the Hummer H2 2009 is the icon on your face the leader of the pack. H2's off-road capabilities are legendary, while his appeals to the reputation of the inhabitants of the city image conscious daring.

Like most of the range GM, the Hummer H2 to share much of the basis for other models. The resistance of the frame is the same as the previous generation of the Chevrolet Tahoe, even though H2 has a short-term excesses and massive ground clearance, which will help to strengthen its off-road credentials. Under the hood is a robust 6.2-liter V8, which is powerful enough to motivate all the H2 6600-more than pounds. At the same time, it is wrapped in a bold and elegant that still makes the H2 a distinctive-looking vehicles on the road.

While these are certainly admirable qualities Saracens in the world politically correct today, there is no way to bypass the H2 are obvious errors. Its outer dimensions are bulky in contradiction with the cramped rear seat and cargo space limited, and its fuel economy is miserable smiles on faces greedy oil execs. For daily use, such as SUV Land Rover Range Rover, Lincoln Navigator and Mercedes-Benz GL-Class will be much better to own and offer more cachet and prestige as well. Unless you really need something that can cross the streams two feet deep, the 2009 Hummer H2 is probably a luxury full-size SUV, you can pass it on.

Those who prefer to choose lucky because most of these add-ons are available as individual options. Second row captain's chairs are also an option available in all variants.

Engines and performance

Pushing the 2009 Hummer H2 on the road is a 6.2-liter V8 produces 393 horsepower and 415 lb-ft of torque. Power through a six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control manual on how to turn all four wheels. When the pavement runs out, H2 conquer the desert with a dual transfer case range, electronically controlled throttle calibrated for low range and driver-selectable rear differential closet. For those who expect to attract more than the lobster can be stored internally, towing capacity tops out at £ 8.200.

Because H2 has a GVWR (gross vehicle weight) of more than 8500 pounds, the EPA did not give estimates of fuel economy. Of course, your fuel card will take a hit when it comes time to fill 32 gallons.

Security

Safety equipment includes ABS as standard H2 disc brakes, brake assist, stability control with rollover prevention, traction control and full-length side curtain airbags. OnStar is also an emergency call and the turn-by-turn directions.

Interior Design and Special Features

The interior of the H2, updated last year's models, is furnished with surfaces that are smooth to the touch and well above the hard plastic in the cabins below. H2 Capacity passenger four to seven now, with chairs new option this year in the second row of captain. In the back seat of accommodation include temperature control and an optional entertainment system to keep passengers cool, comfortable and occupied. Despite an exterior that seems an echo induction car, the interior is surprisingly modest. Rear legroom is limited for frequent travelers and optional third-row seats are less spacious than a Toyota RAV4. Meanwhile, 86.6 cubic feet of cargo space is smaller than other luxury SUV full size.

Driving Impressions

2009 Hummer H2 excels in off-road with its high ground clearance, the steep angles of approach and departure, the journey long and tenacious tire grip. Among luxury SUV H2 is literally off-road King of the Hill. Back to the streets of the city, but the appearance of the H2 is a bit like a rolling suitcase overloaded in a corridor crowded being pushed by an NFL linebacker - heavy and clumsy, but his enormous size is enough to scare themselves nearer everything else. Despite its size and mass of 6.614 pounds, is expected to reach 60 km / h in under 10 seconds. It is not laziness, and as a linebacker above, it is doubtful anyone would be a challenge for heavy H2.

2010 HUMMER H3 SUV Review

It does not seem that long ago when the Hummer were status symbols favorite celebrity series. Somehow, it was considered cool to drive the massive, 3-ton, gas-guzzling H2 SUV through a crowded city streets along the way previews of Hollywood and expensive restaurants. Hummer will soon expand to include younger brother recent H3, which offers similar to H2, but expect a much lower price, a more reasonable and less gluttonous appetite for fuel.

Then gas prices rose sharply, driving the Hummer was born as cool as Kanye West to host the Grammy Awards. To make matters worse is planned sale of the Hummer brand, which has left uncertainty about the future of the brand. 2010 Hummer H3 still soldiers, when they can not resist the Hummer is true eye-catcher style Tonka Trucks to its brand new.

Impressive off-road ability is still strong Hummer, the H3 and was not disappointed. The short overhangs, generous ground clearance, large tires and locking differentials available to become a force to consider the rough roads. But the reality is you'll never see anything more solid than the edge of a football field.

Ultimately, too many sacrifices made here on behalf of the ability to style and off-road sense for most people. With its small windows, the H3 offers outward visibility almost equal to the Brink of the truck, while the empty weight of nearly 5,000 pounds (almost as much as a Tahoe) is a heavy burden the standard five-cylinder engine. Yes, the Alpha has a powerful V8 engine, but its thirst for fuel is the second to the thirst of some celebrities "of care. On the positive side, the H3 does not provide a smooth ride and comfortable seating for four adults, capacity is even thinner on the part of this segment.

So yes, maybe the 2010 Hummer H3 is a good choice for those who venture off-road regularly or is so taken with her unique creations that they can live with disabilities. But its competitors - whether customized built machines like the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited and Toyota FJ Cruiser, or the more traditional SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee and Nissan Pathfinder - provide greater overall value, performance, efficiency and quality for most consumers.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2010 Hummer H3, a mid-size sport-utility vehicle is available in two basic models: the base five-cylinder H3, and efficiency in the Alpha.

The H3 features standard alloy wheels 16 inch dishes filled with trawl, Hill Start Assist, air conditioning, cruise control, fog lights, remote keyless entry, OnStar, Bluetooth and a six-speaker CD player with radio satellite. Alfa model adds a V8 engine, 16-inch polished wheels, leather seats and steering wheel, floor mats, heated front seats, garage door opener universal power adjustment.

A luxury package on the base model with many extras alpha plus a Monsoon sound system with six-CD changer, while the appearance package dresses H3 Alpha with a chrome fuel tank CAP wheels and rails shelter, and other things. A ceiling painting, special hardware, a navigation system and a rearview camera are also available.

Hummer H3s available with two suspension packages to meet the requirements of different terrain. The standard Z85 suspension and handling heavy towing offers more balanced and off-road capability, with 32-inch all-terrain tires and different rear axle gear. Package Adventure Off-Road option is designed for more aggressive off-pavement capability, with over 33 inch tires, specially tuned shock absorbers, a case of cast iron front differential, locking differentials front and rear and shorter transfer case gear for maximum control during hill climbs and descents. It also adds some elements of the package as a luxury power driver seat and the monsoon system noise.

Propulsion and Performance

All models 2010 Hummer H3 is equipped with a four-wheel drive and a box of two-speed transfer. The standard engine is a 3.7-liter inline five-cylinder that generates 239 horsepower and 241 lb-ft of torque, backed by a five-speed manual transmission as standard or optional four-speed automatic transmission. The acceleration is due mate H3 is nearly 5000 pounds of weight and the maximum towing is estimated at a modest 4500 pounds. The EPA estimated fuel economy of 14 mpg highway and 15 mpg control city/18 mpg in association with the transmission.

Alpha model incorporates the pace with the 5.3-liter V8 cranking out 300 horsepower and above, 320 Nm of torque mated to a four-speed automatic movement. Overall performance has improved significantly, and the 00-60 sprint in 8 seconds, the area of the road, and the largest towing capacity shoots up to 6000 pounds. As expected, the estimated fuel economy is still suffering, 13 mpg city/16 mpg highway rating and 14 mpg combined.

Security

ABS, traction control, stability control system, hill-start assist, OnStar, and a full-length side curtain airbags are standard on all H3s.

In government crash tests, the Hummer H3 2010 earned a perfect five of five stars for driver protection and four stars for passenger protection in frontal crash tests. The side-impact tests resulted in the protection of five stars for both front and rear passengers. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests on the road, the Hummer H3 received a second "acceptable" rating in crash tests for front and side as compensation.

Interior Design and Special Features

H3's cabin is attractive in a utilitarian sort of way, but a little light compared to the design of the Hummer H3's bold exterior. The leather seats are encouraged to arrange things a little with a color scheme in two-tone and contrast piping. Build quality is acceptable, although most competitors offer fine appointments. In addition, a stereo and climate interfaces are not as friendly as those found in other GM vehicles.

The seats are comfortable, though the outward visibility is compromised for drivers and passengers short due to the high beltline and H3 low profile window design. The rear seat occupants have plenty of room to stretch out once, but the entry and exit through the door opening rather small can be a challenge, and more people may find little cramped office. Cargo capacity is lagging behind its rivals, only 63 cubic feet with the seats folded. The threshold load cargo floor is also quite high, but easily accessible at the side door hinged at the rear.

Guide

The inline-5 runs generally the norm to keep pace with traffic when the tool around the city, but the 2010 Hummer H3 near bulk-5 0.000 pounds it causes stuttering when confronted with steeper climbs and high speed passing situations. In beefy V8 Alpha fixes this problem, of course, and is accompanied by a muscular exhaust note and better throttle response at all speeds.

Off-Road Hummer Jr. element and can be overcome almost any terrain you encounter as a result of 9 cm and height from the ground, full of suspension, skid plates and a standard approach and impressive angles of departure. Since this is an off-road, H3 makes admirably on the sidewalk, where the stability of a decent speed. The ride is surprisingly smooth and distorts the H3's tough-truck nature.

2011 Honda Accord Sedan Review

In 2011, the Honda Accord may be the first significant update of the current generation of the platform. In particular, fuel economy is high due to aerodynamic magazine, as well as changes to engines and transmissions. SE trim level has been increased and there is new additional functions, such as an iPod / USB interface, reversing camera, memory functions and commands of the driver change. Exterior has received a slight update, while the interior climate control buttons have been modified compatibility with the optional navigation system.

"What's midsize sedan should I buy?" The answer to this question has long been "Honda Accord". It is an instinctive reaction, as it applies to your birthday or the name of your dog. The deal was the first choice in the segment consistently recommended always been easy. Times change, however. With stunning new competitors, the 2011 Accord, Honda already has serious rivals to compete.

The current generation of the Agreement (it debuted in 2008) is the largest ever, offering the most gracious interiors in its class. Yet this super-sizing of the Accord also comes with a disadvantage, because it feels more like the "right size" in the family sedan category. While its management remains sensitive and tactile, the agreement tends to feel super-great when driving in turns. Its acceleration is a bit disappointing, with a five-speed automatic have to do here, when most competing models now offer more vivid six-speed.

It is positive for 2011, since the choice of engines have become more agreement frugal. Thanks to aerodynamic tweaks, reduced engine friction and review gear transmission, four-cylinder Accord is now an EPA-rated 23 city/34 highway, about 2 km per liter, which is the Agreement on top fuel economy of the organization of family sedans. The V6 is also more effective this year, too.

Unfortunately, the interior Agreement has not changed much in 2011. Compared to new competitors like the Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata and Kia Optima, the car looks Agreement and feel a bit cheap. The plastic is not as nice and seems bleak - especially if you choose to gray. Honda has made some small changes in the climate control complex available on models with navigation in the year, but the center console Agreement shall remain in the grip of too many buttons.

However, it is important to note that the 2011 Honda Accord continues to be a choice among solid family sedans. It is spacious, fuel efficient and reliable, and should hold its value well. The agreement also comes in a sporty coupe body style, something that few other car manufacturers offer in their cars in the class. So we always recommend the Agreement. But choices like the Fusion, Optima, Sonata, Mazda 6 and even the Suzuki Kizashi now exceed the agreement in many areas, so the answer to "What midsize sedan should I buy?" Are now more confused than it used to be.

Body styles, trim levels and options

2011 Honda The Accord is available as a midsize sedan and coupe. The sedan is available in LX, LX-P, SE, EX and EX-L trim levels, while the coupe LX-S, EX and EX-L MIC.

Base LX trim is equipped with a 16-inch steel wheels, keyless entry, full power accessories, air conditioning, cruise control, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, height-adjustable driver seat, manual and six speaker audio system with CD player and an additional audio. LX-P trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels and power driver seat eight so. SE adds leather seats, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power adjustable driver lumbar, heated front seats. EX adds or replaces the LX-P devices with 17-inch wheels, a more efficient four-cylinder engine, sunroof, heated mirrors, electrically adjustable mirrors, driver lumbar adjustment, upgraded interior, a charger and a six-CD audio interface USB.

EX-L adds automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, heated front seats, leather upholstery, a leather steering wheel, automatic dimming rearview mirror, Bluetooth, a seven-speaker system upgraded sound, satellite radio and the possibility of a navigation system with voice control and a rearview mirror camera. A V6 EX-L also gains a memory configuration of the seat and seat four-way power passenger.

Coupe LX-S trim is well equipped LX sedan, but 17-inch wheels and six-CD changer. EX Coupe does not include the driver power lumbar adjustment, but not the EX-L Sedan to upgrade the stereo without satellite radio. Just as the lumbar spine, and satellite radio is added to the EX-L. The choice of V6 EX-L adds 18-inch wheels.

Propulsion and Performance

For 2011 Honda Accord LX and SE trim are powered by a 2.4-liter inline-4 engine that produces 177 horsepower and 161 lb-ft of torque. EX version of this engine produces 190 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. Both versions come standard with a five-speed manual transmission, while the five-speed automatic transmission is optional. In performance testing , walked an automatic LX-P from zero to 60 km / h in 9.1 seconds, which is on the slow side for this class. With the automatic, fuel economy EPA-estimated for both LX and EX versions are 23 mpg city/34 mpg highway and 27 mpg combined. The manual reduced the number cited by 1 mpg.

The Accord EX and EX-L can be equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 engine and 271 horsepower for good and 254 lb-ft of torque (251 with manual cut-equipped). A five-speed automatic transmission is standard on both body styles, coupe with shift paddles. The coupe can be equipped with a six-speed manual transmission. In performance tests , a V6 sedan went from zero to 60 mph in 7 seconds, while a manual-equipped coupe that was in 6.3. 20/30/24 The sedan reached EPA-estimated, while the coupe 19/28/22 17/26/21 with automatic and manual.

Security

Every 2011 Honda Accord with anti-lock disc brakes, stability and traction control, front side airbags, curtain airbags and a half. In tests the brakes , the various agreements that we have tested over the years, have done 60 mph about 130 meters - on the long side of this vehicle class.

In the government's new, more demanding crash tests in 2011, Accord has received a five-star ratings across the overall performance, front-impact protection and side-impact protection. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the highest score performance agreement "good" of the car from the front-offset and side impact collisions, and the second best rating, "acceptable" in the roof strength test.

Interior Design and Special Features

The Honda Accord no longer has the kind of quality materials and construction used to make his cabin a reference point. There are harder plastic in some competitive vehicles, and the fit and finish fell short of their predecessors of the car. A more banal with lots of buttons does not do favors. The optional navigation system rises telling another button, but the voice commands, and command high screen are multipurpose less friendly.

The leather seats are high-end polarizing - some of us love its bold lines and strong support, while others complain of numbness after long flights and very aggressive lumbar support. None of these complaints were directed to the rear, which found that between the average class size bigger - the height of the face are plentiful, even for 6 footers. The trunk of 14 cubic feet is numerically on the small side, but has a large aperture and is reflected in the way that seems more useful than it really is. Back seat and trunk of the coupe are obviously much smaller, but between the court, the agreement is in fact one of the most helpful.

Driving Impressions

While we admire well weighted and communicative steering the 2011 Honda Accord, a lot of driving experience of others is a little 'disappointed. In particular, too much body roll when cornering (coupe is better in this respect), and the ride quality is not as good as what you get from other top sedans. Another concern is the increased amount of noise expected in this segment.

The base four-cylinder engine is particularly noteworthy, offering a quiet and acceleration rather noisy, but the standard 190-HP version is more refined and offers similar fuel economy. Past Honda V6 was something to brag about, but the 2011 Accord V6 lacks torque down and feels much less powerful than the V6 same competition.

2011 GMC Acadia Review

Following the fuel price and buyers a more realistic assessment of their needs, a traditional truck-based SUV is not the popular family vehicle that once was. Although most buyers use to go to these thirsty beasts would probably be very well served by mini-vans, many people, instead of opting for an alternative that is appropriate: large crosses, as the 2011 GMC Acadia.

Acadia is one of the triplets of GM "Lambda" platform (Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse is the other). Like its cousins, the Acadia uses a carlike unibody architecture that makes it easier and more compact than the heavier body on frame truck-based SUVs. As such, Acadia offers more passenger and cargo space while providing better handling, a more pleasant driving experience, superior collision safety and better fuel economy.

Available with front or four wheel drive, the Acadia is powered by a V6 engine strong. Families traveling by road will appreciate the Acadie smooth, quiet. Those in the habit of carrying large objects will be grateful for the generous amount of binding of the load because the load space is 117 cubic feet. The recovery of the Acadia is complemented with high scores and their ability to accommodate up to eight passengers.

This beautiful and spacious cabin has some weaknesses, however. Some documents are mediocre and the third row, but very accommodating, not as comfortable as the Ford Flex. Visibility (admittedly a weak point in most large crosses) is reduced compared to other models in this short segment. Finally, driving enthusiasts can find the handling a little heavy Acadia compared to the lighter, more nimble rivals like the Mazda CX-9.

Even so, these are just small quibbles seen against many strengths of the 2011 GMC Acadia. Addresses some worthy crossover competitors like the Ford Flex and Mazda CX-9, as well as new technologies packed, and the Ford Explorer and the luxurious Hyundai Veracruz. We recommend trying all of which best suits your needs. Eventually, however, we suspect that the Acadia is the best choice for many buyers, the strength of his impressive combination of comfort, functionality, cargo space and performance.

Body styles, trim levels and options

In 2011, the GMC Acadia is a crossover SUV offered in five large stones: base SL, SLE, SLT-1, SLT and Denali-2. Seven-passenger seating is the default configuration, while seating for eight passengers (replace a bench fold-flat second-row chairs of the standard fold-flat captain) is optional on all but the SL.

The SL comes with alloy wheels 18 inch front and rear air conditioning, power accessories, cruise control, OnStar telematics (with a six-month subscription to reach and connections) and a set of six CD/MP3 stereo speakers satellite radio. The SLE adds fog lights, power liftgate, remote start, leather steering wheel, power front seats (eight-conductor / passengers in both directions), auto-dimming mirror mirror, Bluetooth, rear parking sensors and a backup camera display mirror with a small mirror.

The SLT-1 upped the ante with 19-inch wheels, heated mirrors, a steering system with variable assist, three-zone automatic climate control, rear audio controls and headphone jacks, leather, heated front seats and a Bose stereo with 10 speakers USB audio jack. The SLT-2 adds power folding mirrors with auto dimming driver's side, more power settings for the front passenger seat, memory functions and preparation of the driver of the towing package.

Denali tissue level trim adds a unique body treatment (including the grille, front / rear sections, side moldings and wheel flares), 20-inch chrome wheels black chrome accents, xenon lights, more sound insulation, illuminated scuff plates, " skyscape "active front / solid rear dual sunroofs, Head-Up Display, perforated leather upholstery, heated / ventilated front seats and leather / wood steering wheel.

Many additional features in the superior court can be added as options at a lower cut. Other highlights optional, depending on equipment level, including a navigation system, rear entertainment system, a power of 115 volts, a version of surround sound Bose stereo, a console in the center of the second row and sunroof Skyscape .

Engines and performance

There is only one engine / transmission combination available in the GMC Acadia - 3.6-liter V6 mated to a six-speed automatic edit manually. V6 produces 288 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

The EPA estimated fuel economy for FWD Acadia are 17 mpg highway and 19 mpg city/24 mpg combined. All wheel drive models are very close to Acadia 16/23/19 mpg. Properly equipped, the Acadia can tow up to 5,200 pounds.

Security

ABS, traction control and stability control, front seat side airbags and curtain side airbags half of all three rows are standard on all 2011 GMC Acadia, which is one of GM's OnStar service, including turn-by-turn directions and hands free phone connectivity. In tests Edmunds Brake, Acadia has stopped 135 meters - the Flex and CX-9 work better.

In crash tests of the new government more difficult in 2011, Acadia was awarded five stars for overall performance, with four out of five stars on account of the impact protection of the leader and five stars for side protection.

Acadia Insurance has also managed to crash tests of Highway Safety Institute, where he earned the highest rating of "good" in frontal crash tests and lateral offset.

Interior Design and Special Features

Inside, the cabin of Acadia is a spacious, attractive two-tone brushed aluminum and chrome finishes (including wood grain accents Denali). The dashboard is made up of two meters, with a number of bright white on black, these indicators are simple and easy to read. Minor ailments are among the weakest of the interior plastics and the audio and climate controls that consist of little buttons and similar in appearance too.

Depending on the configuration chosen, both the Acadia seats seven passengers (with second row captain chairs), or eight passengers (with a split-folding sofa in the second row) has three rows. The seats in first and second rows are very comfortable and supportive, and a split-folding third-row seats - that often the children only the traditional SUV sector - can accommodate adults in reasonable comfort. Maximum load capacity is a generous 117 cubic meters per second, and third-row seats are folded down. Although all three rows of seats in use, there is a useful 24 cubic feet of storage space.

Driving Impressions

Like other large crossovers from General Motors, GMC Acadia 2011 strikes a balance between safe and comfortable handling. But you'll never forget that a large vehicle and heavy (nearly 5000 pounds with four-wheel drive) and it feels more difficult to manage than other large crossovers on the market. The choice of most 19 - or 20-inch wheels may also affect ride quality Acadia. We have no complaints about the 3.6-liter V6, as it gives the acceleration arranged in almost any situation.
